No, but apparently you were born with the "common sense" gene.

I would ask why you can't. Even science come to a place where no other reasoning makes sense. Since you made your question sound real with intent on getting an answer even if you don't except it I will try to explain.
Arthur Conan Doyle for his character Sherlock Holmes wrote and I quote loosely.. "You solve a mystery by removing posiblities. What ever is left no matter how improbable is the truth.."
That leads me to chirality. Although two chemical molecules may appear to have the same elements and similar properties, they can still have different structures. When two molecules appear
identical and their structures differ only by being mirror images of each other, those molecules are said to have chirality. Your left and right hands illustrate chirality. When a random chemical reaction is used to prepare molecules having chirality, there is an equal opportunity to prepare the left-handed isomer as well as the right-handed isomer. It is a scientifically verifiable fact that a random chance process, which forms a chiral product, can only be a 50/50 mixture of the two optical isomers. There are no exceptions. Chirality is a property that only a few scientists would even recognize as a problem. The fact that chirality was missing
in those amino acids is not just a problem to be debated, it points to a catastrophic failure that "life" cannot come from chemicals by natural processes. If proteins and DNA were formed by chance, each and every one of the components would be a 50/50 mixture of the two optical isomers. This is not what we see in natural proteins or in natural DNA. How can a random chance natural process create proteins with thousands of "L" molecules, and then also create DNA with billions of "R" molecules? Does this sound like random chance or a product of design? Chirality is not just a major problem for evolution; it is a dilemma. It is this handedness that gives DNA the spiral shaped helical structure. If one molecule in the DNA structure had the wrong chirality, DNA would not exist in the double helix form, and DNA would not
function properly. The entire replication process would be derailed like a train on bad railroad tracks. In order for DNA evolution to work, billions of molecules within our body would have to be generated with the "R" configuration all at the
same time, without error. If it is impossible for one nucleotide to be formed with chirality, how much less likely would it be for billions of nucleotides to come together exactly at the same time, and all of them be formed with the same chirality? According to evolution, natural processes must explain everything over long periods of time. However, the process that forms chirality cannot be explained by natural science in any amount of time. This is evidence straight from the labs of Science. The Bible has nothing to do with these facts. Yet the magnitude of the problem ndicates that there WAS a creative force behind all life and that the spontaneous life generation that most scientist hold up as fact is at best far fetched and worst impossible..... Knowing this why would you allow any reasoning to come between you and salvation through faith in Christ? Jim

I understand where you're coming from. I was raised Catholic, and when I was a child, belief in God was absolute. It would never have even occurred to me to think otherwise. But now, it's like doubt is a little bird in my mind beating it's wings against the cage. I want so badly to continue to believe the way I used to, but I can't help but think that the idea is so---cavemanish. I guess you can't help the way your brain works. I try to believe, and I pretty much carry on as if I do. (I go to church, I celebrate the religious holidays, I had my children baptized, and intend to send them to religion classes.) I just can't control the nagging doubts in my own mind. I just hope that if there IS a God, he understands that I have no control over this, and I've really tried my best to keep my faith.

Many believe in science they can not see and that has not been proven, they believe with thier mind, their intellect and their reasoning.
The Bible tells us the the wisdom of man is foolishness in Gods eyes.
I believe by faith that God exist, I asked Jesus to forgive my sin and to be my savior, I gave him my life. After I did this I was filled with the Holy Spirit. This Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and without this spirit you can not know what is really the truth.
I know that God is real because we have fellowship, we have a relationship and it is more real than the relationship I have with my wife. I love Jesus and I know that he loved me when he died for my sins. I know the love of Christ and I understand that he is always with me.
I am not ignorant of the ways and knowledge of the world, I just think most of it is silly. I believe God spoke everything into existance, that is the only thing that makes sense.
Foolishness is believing that accidents happened over fast amounts of time which magically created the DNA and sequenced the amino acids to build life.
Foolishness is believing that our gravity which is so finely tuned that if it changed by 1-10thousandth of a percent we could not have life, happened by accident.
If Darwin could see the irreducably complex machines in our own bodies he would change his mind and say evolution was a fantasy. Sure things change but get real, we are still missing the missing link, not to mention the Cambrian explosion which science cant explain.
Anyway, don't let intellect stand in the way of wisdom, seek and you will find the truth, open your heart to God and invite Jesus into your heart and you will know the truth.
God Bless.

Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh. He predicted His own death and ressurection. History confirms that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead.
Now, if you had met the man Jesus in person, saw Him crucified, then saw Him alive again, do you think you would believe that maybe what He was saying was true? No one has ever made claim to their own death and ressurection except one person. That was Jesus Christ.
So, maybe you could study some of the facts that are available. Historical documents, archeological discoveries, etc., that gives the confidence that all Jesus claimed to be is true.
I would recommend starting with 3 books:
"More Than A Carpenter" by Josh McDowell. This book can be read in a couple of hours.
"The New Evidence That Demands A Verdict" by Josh McDowell. This is more like a huge reference book (probably over 700 pages). There is a lot of great information in this book.
"Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis.
Any of these books will give you the confidence that you don't have to check your brains in at the door to be a Christian.

It is a choice to believe or not to believe. You were created some how and i would chose that God created me. Cause you know we look nothing like apes. Keeping reading the word and make the choice to believe with your heart and things will come into prospective. Because the simple thing is you just really choose not to believe but he is real

It could be because you ask for proof, for logic from religion, and religion is not that. If it was that, their people wouldn't be referred to as believers, faithful, they would be referred to as scientist.
It takes a lot of believe to believe in someone you don't see, but so many tell you about His abilities and power over you. Who did you pray to? and what did you ask for? Did you ask for physical evidence of God! did you dare God to give you proof that He exist! that is not praying, that is testing. There is no faith gene, it comes within your heart, and if you truly want to know you will find him.
Instead of looking at other to find what is wrong with them! look to find what is right about them, find the goodness in others, and that what you will find. What you look for, is what you will find. I am not preaching to you or anyone else. I am only asking you to look for the goodness in all of us, including the Atheist.

Please watch this. Just listen how that person found what he was looking for.
Merry Christmas, or Merry Days to one and ALL.
Have hope, what more a person can ask for.

For the person who gave me a thumb down while I was typing. Not fair. You have judged me even before reading my post. That was unfair, but I hold no ill thoughts against you anyway, it is just unfair. :(

Faith is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by him. Interior help comes from the Holy Spirit who moves the heart & converts it to God; who opens the eyes of the mind & makes it easy for all to accept & believe the truth.
Basically there must be a willingness to believe; to listen & open up your heart to God.
Re the human person: We are open to truth & beauty, most of us have a sense of moral goodness, freedom & the voice of our conscience; we long for the infinite & for happiness & question ourselves about God's existence. Our soul can only have its origin in God & God revealed himself to us through the Bible's old testament & through Jesus Christ in the new testament & thru the apostles.
You know, I'm not advocating that you become a Catholic but there is a 17 week course in religious instruction you might want to consider. If not instruction by a Catholic perhaps religious instruction thru another source. I think you must want to believe in God & religious instruction will help you I'm sure.

Take a good look at the sun, moon, stars, sky, all the living creatures on earth, go to the ocean and notice the power in it, look how the earth is just right for life, right !go and look at the rivers how they flow the correct way, just go to the hospital and look at the new born babies and see the breath of life in them, hold someone close to you and feel the eternal life flowing Thur them, when the rainbow comes out look at the colors in it, feel the cool breeze blowing your hair, watch the lighting strike when it storms, now take your hand and put it against your chest and feel that. that is your heart beating. its call life. have you ever seen tears come from someone, maybe happy, maybe sad, maybe hurt, maybe misunderstanding, maybe death. you see God made all of these things I mention and more.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1-3
So just turn your head toward heaven and look at the picture of God, he is there for you and me.

this is not a judgment on you but are you perhaps trying to work God out in your head? you cannot be intellectual with your faith, it is a matter of letting go of the `why and why not` and coming to trust that God knows you intimately and loves you as you are but this has to be excepted into the heart, and not just a head trip.
if you look at all that Jesus did on this earth, all the pain and rejection, the humiliation of the cross, then you should realize that He would gladly have done all this just for you alone, and the moment that you realize this great love for you then you shall begin to have faith and a faith that will grow.
