I would do something interactive. They are going to be working with kids, so let them have fun with their orentation. Do a scavenger hunt to find out where things are at in the building. Mix some "play" time in with all the rules/regulations you need to cover. Show them that fun is also an important part of their job.

review the rules and regs, show where craft and cleaning supplies are stashed, introduce new staff to the kids they will interact with...all obvious things.
