it could just appear black at first. hair color tends to come out darker when you first color it i would give it a couple days (and washings) to see if it fades any. if not it could just be the combination of the two reds and your natural color. especially if the two reds are different shades of reds. or if you are on your period believe it or not it can change the outcome of your color. if it doesn't fade using regular shampoo try a clarifying shampoo (but don't use it everyday because it will strip the natural oils from your hair and dry it out) if none of that works they do make color removers but it may take out the other hair color also.

Hi, the dye you have put on has had a reaction with the other dye & that is why it has gone the wrong colour, you should never mix different dye especially if you still have some in your hair. If you want your hair exact colour as it is on the box your best bet is to bleach your hair then week later use a new colour on your hair.
I also would not advise any colours with there own seperate colour booster.
to get rid of the colour do not dye again! you will damage your hair.
Find your nearest hairdresser supply shop. they sell a product, that will remove any trace of dye in your hair. two days later you can dye your hair to the colour you want. These products are strong so you must keep eye on the time. they will strip all pigmentation out of your hair from the dye, but leave on to long it will take out all your natural colour to., hope this helps,
Also some hairdresser shops can get funny under new regulations that they will not sell to you if your not a hairdresser & they will ask for id. some are ok though a lot of hair dressers also offer this in there salons

Different companies use different chemicals in their dyes. These chemicals can cause a reaction with each other and this is what has probably changed your hair colour. You should always do a strand test first before applying to your whole head. Your hair may look black to you but I bet others can see red shades when you are under lights, some deep reds can be very dark.

I'm sure it not black, but it sure looks like it indoors. Go look at it outside....There are a few things to consider. Coloring your previously colored hair will always go darker even if you use a lighter shade. You've packed so much color on your hair that going real dark was just what happens. A true red stops at level 6. After that it doesn't look so much red as it does a brown red. What color are the roots now? If you had any regrowth that is the color you bought. You needed to remove "some" of the previous color prior to trying this.

If you have dark hair and you dye it a lighter shade, it will turn orange. Call the 1-800 # on the side of the product you are using for better dye shades and problem solving.

Yes, many hair colors aren't what they look to be. It also could be because you have always used one kind of hair dye and then changed product. That could be your problem. Try going back to the original. If that doesn't work then I am terribly sorry.

I am not sure what would cause that but I would certainly call the 800 # that is supposed to be on the box for questions or problems. If there is none, then google search the name and get a hold of them immediately. Could have been a bad batch.
