Believe it or not, brooding can be healthy if not overly used. We need to feel sadness and darkness so that we may learn to appreciate our lighter experiences and happy times in our lives. Kind of like the Yin Yang ball. there is an up and a down to everything in life. We have to experience the down before we can appreciate the up. Brooding too much will only bring depression. Some brooding can be due to pent up grief that was never allowed to surface. Sometimes, we all need a good cry. I always feel better and then I go on my happy way.

LOL. I've been there, man. Brooding on your own misfortunes is tempting, but you should try interacting with other people and trying to enjoy yourself. Its fun, once you get over the brooding addiction...

I constructed this huge envelope using darkness paper. Sometimes I think about using it to mail myself to a nicer place somewhere over the rainbow.

It's never a good idea to not seek out treatment. Keep trying until you find appropriate help. Good luck :)
