I would guess that Waree and Hopalong are both right. It's supposed to start around April and End in october or November. I was there last week and it rained twice for about an hour on separate days. The forecast was for Thunder showers all week. It only showed up on Friday around Noon and Sunday around Noonish. This was in Bangkok only. So like Hopalong wrote, the clouds come in and clouds go away. LOL just take it as it comes. With global warming it is hard to predict what is normal anymore.
I left southern California and it was 60 degrees F at night and came back to 40 degrees F at night. I was only gone 6 days.

The Wet Season or 'Rudeu Fon' is generally beween May and October this is when the entire country is under the influence of the South West monsoon blowing in from the Indian Ocean. The period from November to April are much drier due to the influence of the North East Monsoon blowing in overland across China or Indo China. At this time of year most of the rainfall is on the southern Kra Peninsula as the winds here approach across the Pacific Ocean. The Thais prefer to head north to the mountainous Chiang Mai area at this time of year as the weather there is much cooler and drier than in the south.

i like the moist season with the aid of fact there are fewer visitors stepping into your way as quickly as you're in bars, shops and shops. by way of the moist season the plant life is all constructive and green and full of plant life. For the main important section on an analogous time because it rains it in many circumstances does no longer rain for the duration of Thailand on an analogous time! Even by way of the moist season you will discover patches of light showing up frequently. some factors might in effortless words have an hour or 2 of rain then the mild comes returned. some factors have greater rain than distinctive factors. some places might have some community flooding until the drains can take care of the deluge. Even by way of the moist season thousands and thousands of travelers although fly to Thailand! (on an analogous time as the factors gets nicer like in November, December and January the fee of lodge rooms is going up - they call this extreme Season!) solid fulfillment.

Traditionally from April to November, but it depends where you go, inland will tend always to be drier. Also given global warming rain can happen anytime. The good news is that it will not last too long! When it rains stay indoors, when it stops then go enjoy the fresh air.
I was in Thailand in September and October and it did not cause us any problems.
