What can the aftereffects be? Can degenerative disc disease be a condition caused by it's effects?

If you are having disc problems please see a specialist. Septicemia (blood poisoning), can be caused by many bacteria. (& less often, other organisms). Each bacterium can have unique affects upon your body. I am not aware of a strong correlation between it and disc problems. But it is a possiblity. But it is not a usual outcome. I presume that the infection has been killed off. Try to relax (easy to say and harder to do). Get slots of rest, proper nutrition and start getting exercise as soon as you are up to it. Just taking a walk around the block is a good start. (you can repeat it a day or two later and try to do it in a little less time, but not in a race or marathon.fashion). Taking a daily vitamin with mineral supplement tablet daily is a good idea. (the majority of North American adults, over age 40, are mildly vitamin defficient).
All the best.
