I need some opinions please!

Okay I have been having this discussion way too long with a couple of people and it seems to go no where. So I decided to ask all of you.

If someone has two Associates Degrees and one Bachelor's Degree all in separate fields/majors how many degrees do they have? I feel I have three degrees and my boyfriend and his friend say I have one because the Bachelor's overpowers the other two. What do you think?

Bachelors in Graphic Design: 2005
Associate as a Webmaster: 2002
Associate in Graphic Arts: 2000

In the end it does not matter for I am now working as a web designer but I need outsiders thoughts.

You have fulfilled the requirements of three degrees. Therefore, you have three degrees. I am not even sure how there can be an argument

You have 3. Also, depending on your Core studies, you may be close to having more if you study the correct courses to fulfill the Requirements of the Degree. I have 2 A.A.S Degrees and 4 Bachelors. And, if I wanted I have enough studies to obtain other B.S. Degrees. But, college too expensive now for the paper to hang on a wall and I just learn from free off the Inet, I not try to impress people with my Papers, I just love learning.

U still would have 3 degrees. 2 associates and one bachelors, on your education record it's gonna show u have 3 degrees.

I think I'd agree with your friend that you have one college degree. The associates degree is considered a step towards a BA or BS. But as you say it really doesn't matter. On the other hand, if you tell employers that you have 3 degrees, most will expect at least one them to be a graduate degree.

I do not know the hierarchy of the associate exams but it does suggest to me that they are not degrees such as that of the Bachelors which I guess must be a BA?
