With a DLP projection TV can you really look from all sides and the picture quality is the same?

I know with the usual projection TV's that I've seen, when you go to the sides the picture gets dark and unclear.

DLP is alot better, but you are still not going to get the full 180 degree viewing angle. I would say maybe around 160 degrees is average. When I say viewing angle, the image will still be visible. I don't want to mislead you in thinking the image is just as bright on the sides as it is in the center. The problem with DLP and LCD rear projection technology is that it is a reflective technology, therefore it is difficult to get that full wide viewing angle.

Plasma and LCD TV's have the best viewing angle right now. I have a plasma and I can walk to the side of it and still see the bright and sharp picture. These technologies work differently and don't reflect off of mirrors onto a screen. Therefore, you are going to get a wider viewing angle.

I would suggest you going to a retail store and check it out for youself. Go to a Best Buy or Circuit City where they have tons of TV's to compare. You will see what I am talking about.

No... it has about a 90% field of view. It's still a 100 times better than the older rear projection tv's. Go to www.dlptvshowcase.com for more info.
