maybe because the people are on the beach in jamaica with no Internet access.LOL
At least thats where I will be come dec 30th.
I have found every Island I have had the oppertunity to visit to be quite rich in culture.
And as for the Person who said.
Everybody knows about the Caribbean, rip offs, robbers, hurricanes, extortionate prices, etc, so why waste time asking !
You Know nothing of the carribean. or you went to one tourist trap on a beach an think all islands and beaches are the same. or heard someone say something bad about a trip they had They are not. Every area has its down sides. To classify all of the carribean as the same is a closed minded view. it would be like saying New york and california are Identical.
Try opening your mind.
Sorry just my 2.5 cents worth

as for the person that said "Everybody knows about the Caribbean, rip offs, robbers, hurricanes, extortionate prices, etc, so why waste time asking" knows nothing of the Caribbean and tha person is a jack donkey.
Why do people go to NY when it has one of the highest crime rates in the world. Why do people visit Washington d.c when that to has one of the highest crime rates.
Like everywhere in the world there are some bad elements but that gives no one the right to group an entire society.
And for the record Barbados a small island in the Caribbean recently celebrated 300 years of parliamentarian representation and that is way longer than the US ever reached that level

Possibly because the island have not done a good job in promoting the Caribbean.
When we decided to move here our friends asked where Barbados was.
The Caribbean has been visited by the British and Europeans for years and years, they know the answers and North Americans typically do not come here so do not know to ask.
However, though perhaps more expensive than other destinations, the Caribbean is beautiful and certainly worth a visit.

because people think the Caribbean is for POSH people...
that's how its portrayed over here in the UK..
but then again, if it gets too package holidays, then the UK lager louts will move in there, and it will be mushy peas and watneys red barrel all over the island!
ps.. barbados is a fab place to go.. you do get crime over there, but, you get crime over here too...
you just need to be sensible

Because the site is overrun by questions like "Am I pregnant?", "How do I tell someone I like them?", "How do I get to level 2?" among other nonsensical questions.
