I had a cleft lip and palate when i was born and had 2 surguries but still need some dental, reconstructive and cosmetic surguries.
I am 27 years old and just dont have the money for insurance and cant afford that kind of medical care.

I would ask your doctor if they know of any funding that might be available to you.

Look for dental schools...My daughter had cleft palate and we used the dental school because the state put the funding there due to that was the most work needed done...

Medicaid? Shriners? local dental clinic at the Board of Health? local college of dentistry for research or dental clinicians?

I would suggest contacting local plastic surgeons and interviewing with them to see if they would be willing to do any "pro bono" work. Many do a certain amount of these per year.

check operation smile. i know they deal with kids but they can most likley refer you.
