This guy and I started out as friends. I knew he was due to get married, but the attraction was purely physical at the beginning. Now that I'm in love with him I am SAD to find out that there's no backing out of this scheduled, arranged or "fixed" marriage he has coming up in Feb. He says it's not arranged but that the circumstances surrounding it have basically turned it into a fixed marriage. What the hell should I do? Does anyone know of a way for a perston to get out of an Indian marriage? Why did we fall in love if he knew this was the case?

he has a choice. he is choosing to go with family and tradition.
he feels there is no other option. but there is.
he doesn't want to be with you enough to throw away all his family and history and everything they expect from this marriage. it's a big sacrifice. talk to him more deeply about
what it means to him and his family and why this marriage is
unavoidable. listen carefully to him and try to understand.

I think you should bow out, and move on. If he really WANTS to get out of the marriage, he will find the way. If not - there isn't anything you can do to change things. Fall in love wiser next time - there are plenty of single available guys out there. Good luck.

Why did YOU fall in love if you knew what the case was? Don't blame it on him, it's just as much your fault. If he can't get out of the arranged marriage, you may as well move on now. Good luck.

Leave him now and you not have to go through all the Divorce crap. We can find many to fall in love with. Do Not think he your only alternative. If you see no way to back out, then you have given in to his ways of slavery, just wait until you married. Good Luck.

Maybe he should grow some testicles and tell his parents "No."

That might help.
