Paganism is a catch all term for people who believe in spirits and gods. They can follow different pantheons that have nothing in common, but are grouped together because they fall outside the main monotheist religions. Paganism can range from animism in the Americas, through to shamanism in Siberia, and druidry in Europe. All are different. I have included a few websites, which will show some of the diversity in paganism as a whole, but there is far more diversity than just these.

Paganism is a very broad term. Be sure to define it in the beginning of your paper. I'm sure your mom could also point you in the right direction for your research. I'd love to see a geographical representation of where pagans live.
I think it's hard to track down, because usually paganism in general or even Wicca isn't listed as an 'option' on any type of survey things asking you what religion you are... you know, things that the government/census people use. Also, you will probably find many practitioners of paganism in a group too young to report their own census (if that's even on a census).
As a lot of pagans are not a part of an organized version of their spirituality, numbers are also hard to track down. Even organized groups are often small. Many pagans, such as myself, are friends with others that may or may not be pagan, and practice as a solitary.
If you need any help, please feel free to give me an email (queen.guinevere@gmail.com)

Are you referring to a particular type of Paganism? Paganism is a pretty broad term. Most neo-Pagans - Wiccans, Asatru, modern witches, will be in North America and Europe. Vodun in Haiti and other Caribbean islands.
If you consider Buddhism and Hindu Pagan, as some do, then Asia.
There are still aboriginals in several countries that practice different pagan beliefs.
I would say for your project either narrow it down to certain beliefs or give examples of different Pagan religions worldwide.

I think most people would classify Paganism with Wicca or Druidism. However, I have seen Pagan listed as a religion seperate from either. I think the UK countries (Ireland then Scotland-not sure about England or Wales) I would try a search engine for websites or use 'wikipedia.com' for research

The answer is, everywhere. Per capita, the US has more pagans than any other country but in terms of raw numbers, non-US countries have a greater concentration. The UK has more Wiccans. The US also has the greatest number of phony Christians of any country in the world. There's a huge concentration of Ba'Hai in Arizona. There are more Mormons in Utah than anywhere else in the world. It's all relative, or relatives as the case may be.

From everything I know, Canada has a pretty high population of various pagan beliefs, and it's growing all the time. The U.S. pagan population is growing as well, but more of us are in the broom closet.
Blessed be, and good luck!

The pagan Arabs had 365 gods, one for every day of the year. Allah was their moon god, and since Muhammad's father chose Allah as his favorite god, Muhammad made Allah the god for the Islamic religion Muhammad invented. Therefor, paganism is most practised by Muslims, since Islam is in reality a branch of paganism. Google up Allah Pagan Moon God, and you will get more material than you will need for your project, but only touch this subject if you are brave enough to tell the truth...

Here is a website to start your search.

Ignore the rude commentary. Just do some google searches, or use the reference link on the page.

Go to the UK section. There are a ton of pagans there. Christianity is a dying breed in the UK. They will probably help you in that section.
