Go with layers, hot rollers and some freezing spray to keep it in place. Products can help make it look a little fuller (gels, mousse ...), but, often times it weighs down thin hair and by the end of the day your hair will look stringy and/or oily. So, I'd stick with things that don't have oil products in them. Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of the freezing spray! It makes my hair look really full.

If getting your hair restyled is out of budget, try TIGI Catwalk 'Thickening Shampoo' For Fuller Hair. It isn't too expensive (well under a £10) so might tide you over until you can next get down to the salon!
Hope this helps,

Well. I have very thin hair. And I was using Pantene spray for volume. And found my hair just getting thinner over time. Almost all of the sprays I have tried gradually made my hair thinner. Also, your choise in shampoo and conditioner really make an impact. Most shampoos and conditioners will thin your hair. I advise a good herbal shampoo. Local Indian stores have great herbal shampoos that consist of just water, amla plant, shikakai plant, and henna. They are really good for your hair and will make it thicker. Also olive oil is excellent for your hair and will really help to thicken your hair. Iron is really good for thick hair. And so is fish oil tablets. I had very thin hair. I started using herbal shampoo for an Indian store and also put olive oil every night and then washed my hair in the morning. I started taking iron tablets and fish oil tablets from my local grocery store. I was seeing results in 2 weeks. It will really help. Truely. I know you are just thinking that it is not going to work. And that it takes too long. I thought the same. But I did it and it really helped a lot. And you should take one iron pill and one fish oil every day. Here is an excellent website for hair care. and other kinds of care.

My hair is really fine. All I do is, limit the conditioner, only usually the very ends. Make sure I blow dry head upside down with a curly brush. If I'm going out ill put in Velcro rollers after drying whilst doing my make up.

Blowdrying my hair seems to make it bigger, or is that frizzier, hmmmm. Anyway, backcombing seems to help. You know turning over and brushing forward rather than backward. There are also some cheap product that claim to volumize. I suppose you need to know what your hair will look like before you decide how to get it there.

Layer your hair! That'll make a HUGE difference. Or if you don't want to get it cut, use a volumizer shampoo and conditioner. Alternate between that and a hydrating shampoo/conditioner. You'll be amazed with the results!! Good luck!

pumpkin seeds are quite tasty and are packed with iron.this improves oxygen supplies to hair roots to prevent balding.they are also rich in protein, they build up the hair's protective keratin coating.also drink lots of water.sardines are good to-they supply the body with easily absorbed haem iron, without which oxygen and nutrient supplies to the hair roots are reduced, interupting growth.the fish is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids which keep the scalp healthy.

Fashion magazines usually say to have a couple of colours woven through to give it depth but if you're on a budget perhaps you could do this at home with help of an able friend. No doubt its best to keep it quite short so its not wispy and obviously fine

Take some hairspray on the palms of your hand rub them together, then grab the roots of your hair from underneath and scrunch the hairspray in your hands into the roots, instant lift and fullness.
