The servant of all? Do we practise this or do we Lord it over each other as if our gift was from ourselves?

I don't forget, I thank the Lord often as He has said, "the last shall be first and the first shall be last" I know that I can do nothing without God.

Funny you should say this because I was discussing "The greatest on earth will be the least in heaven" just last night. I visit Christian chatrooms fairly often and there was a man there who was talking about all his accomplishments for God, he's spoken in 50 different churches, heads 4 ministries, written 5 books, and so on...and then said something about the rewards he has stored up in Heaven through this.... All I did was mention that the greatest on earth will be the least in Heaven and he got upset.

I think God dislikes greed all around, whether we do things for the earthly riches or the Heavenly ones. Either way, our good intentions are purely selfishness.

I built a house of solid gold for a homeless man to live in. I was helping out the least of these, but perhaps building a house of solid gold was too vain, and a waste of resources that could have gone elsewhere. And there is a strong possibility when it gets warm that house will turn into a giant oven.

So I think my experience shows you the conflicted nature of following some of the Gospels. Even when you think you are doing good, you can be doing some bad.

Depends on the individual. I know many Christians who serve others without any recognition and I know those who won't do a thing unless all hear. I think that we can't judge the church as a whole but that we need to look into our own lives and ask are we doing it. We change the system from within by changing ourselves- not by judging others.

That is such a valid question for the church today. Especially the Joel Osteen, TBN Word of Faith types. It seems their idea of serving is giving others the opportunity of giving to their ministries. The current climate in the church today bears a lot of resemblance to another overlooked doctrine in the Bible, which is the Great Apostasy which will come about in the end times. Excellent question.

Well we have to put on the mind of Christ. Which is a daily thing cause our flesh is weak and our spiritual life is contradicting our flesh. Battlefield of the mind which is the deciding factor. Flesh is satan's our Spirit is the Lords. Our mind is the deciding factor 2 out of 3 to win. So we have to renew our minds by reading the Living Word of God the Bible each day. I struggle sometimes as well.

I realize that we are all God's children and that Christ established the universal church of which we all are a part. No matter what we SAY we are, we are all God's children and have to answer to him in the end. We need to love eachother, accept eachother and live by Christ's teachings. It's all "cut and dry". Love one another as we love Christ and ourselves. Live by the "Big Ten" and the other great commandments and you will have eternal life. Spread the word and earn the biggest reward of all.

God teaches love and sharing, the world teaches hate and greed. This is why we should spend more time in His word and in prayer. We have to spend so much time in the world as we perform our daily tasks. Sometimes we as Christians, are so overcome with what the world has to offer that we loose sight of our ultimate goal , serving man, through Christ.

After reading the other day,Kings I see how many believe they are doing Gods will some just dont care,But I believe I myself have missed the mark and took Gods grace for granted, and I can tell by my worship and praise that I have been selfish and not giving God His do wich as you know he alone deserves.
