He was a child prodigy preacher that traveled around and did alot of the big tent revivals in the Southern states and then when he got older he went into show business because (even he has stated this) It wasn't any different than what he was doing. Several of the movies from the "Airplane" era had him in it.

He was a two bit phoney evangelist back in the 60s who hooked up with the Hippy movement.Leon Russell used to take him on tour sometimes,I saw him around 1971.He then got into acting.He's been around a bit not much lately.
