Good Goddess yes! Ask the tides if you don't think the full moon matters! The moon has a lot of influence over the energies here on Earth. It is a proven medical fact that women who live in areas without a high electrical charge menstruate in accordance with the cycles of the moon. This doesn't mean that the full moon is the only time to cast spells - it depends on what you're hoping to achieve. Sometimes casting spells on the waxing or waning moon may be better for what you want to accomplish, but any serious witch will charge her/his altar tools under the full moon.
Blessed be!

Yes the full moon matters a lot. If you think about the effect that the full moon has on the tides alone and then think about how much water a person consists of along with the other powers the moon has to offer it makes sense that a full moon would add additional strength to what you're trying to do.

I am not into the wiccan or spiritual arts stuff, but I do know that if all the water on earth is moved by the moon, and if the vast majority of the human body is made of water, the moon DOES have an affect on people. I have read an analogy once that said something like people are as influenced by the time and place of their birth under the stars as are wine grapes by the season they are grown in.

Of course! The phases of the moon have different effects on different spells. If you want to rid yourself of something (like bad habits, sickness, etc.) you would do a spell on the waning moon. If you want to do spells fo gaining things (like prosperity, money, good health, etc.) you do them on the waxing moon...up to the full. The full moon is when it would be at the strongest (or most powerful) point. Never do spells on a dark moon (new moon) though. That is a time for resting.
Moon phases shouldn't really effect ones ability to read.

I don't see how this would matter because a "full moon" is just when the Sun is lined up in a way to reflect on that "full" side of the moon's surface. Furthermore, to be technical, a "full" moon is really just a HALF moon because only half of the moon is lit at that time. There never can really be a full moon as far as the lighting is concerned. A full moon would be what we have ALL the time...the moon is always complete. :o)

I have found strength under the full moon and the waning crescent--a few days before new (the moon I was born under). If you are interested in finding out what moon phase you were born during:

The moon has been very influential for me for meditation, scrying, and rituals.

Shayna, paganism and wicca are not satanic, Satanism does take one or two pagan aspects, but hell, so do you when you celebrate christmas, easter, or halloween. dont judge us. we dont believe in the devil, let alone worship him, bite your tounge before you judge us
And yes, the full moon does matter, just like the new moon. especially to protect yourself from christian baisness, lol
