S100 carnauba wax and S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser (polish) are the easiest to use. Sold online or at Harley Davidson dealers. Great with all colors but awesome on silver.
Mother's Reflections, Meguiar's NXT, Mother's Synwax and Duragloss Aquawax spray are a top grade commercial products.
Stay away from Meguiar's Gold Class and Zymol Cleaner Wax (the bluebottle usually sold at auto parts stores). Both have been known to have ridiculously short lives. They're gone in less than 2 weeks. They look very good not as good as the one's listed above.

Mothers wax has always worked for me. Auto zone, pep boys, and Wal-mart will carry it. When finished I use a jewelry cloth to give it a smooth finish.

Zymol - awesome stuff. Real pricey but the results are incredible.
It is not a wax per se, but works more like lotion does for dry skin.

you dont polish clear coats , but spray a light coat of pam cooking spray w/teflon to get a nice shine
