Wasn't Jesus trying to get us to worship a heavenly presence more than an earthly or a hellish one? Wasn't he trying to tell us that while he was worshipped on earth as being perfect, we could not elevate to doing greater works? Wasn't he trying to tell us that in heaven we are all more perfect than on earth? That if we can imagine each other as we are in heaven, without faults and what we would do in certain situations, what advice we would give from that vantage point, would help the others who are living on earth to be much greater works participants when they can imagine us there that way? Isn't this what Jesus was referring to when he chastized the pharasees for worshipping their fathers in hell? Wasn't he attempting...missing a little tact at that moment ....but wasn't he trying to get them to imagine what was causing them to keep thinking the way of the mentors that taught them on earth and that that was the demon that guided their decisions at that time?

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Perhaps there's a difference between "my Father" and "our Father"; And perhaps there is a difference between God on "high" in the "heavens" and God in "heaven": "higher than the heavens"; And perhaps there's also a difference between Jesus and Christ, which is perhaps why the Bible clarifies "eternal salvation" is "through Jesus->Christ", which ends with "Christ": the perfect man, the end of the law, the Saviour of the world.

God in "heaven": "higher than the heavens": Grace
God on "high" in the plural divided "heavens": Law
Pst - high-minded is among un-holy things in 2Tim 3

Friend: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee... Grace
Enmity: I will forsake you, the city, your fathers... Law
Christ is our peace who abolished the enmity(law): Eph 2

Jesus: Son of Man & Son of God on "high" in the "heavens"
Christ: Son of God in "heaven": "higher than the heavens"
Pst - Son of Man should repent: Numbers 23:19

"Jesus": "made under the law", and of woman
"Christ": "the end of the law", and of transgression
Pst - ye are not under the law, but under grace...x 3

"Jesus": "division" & not peace: Mt 10:34: Lk 12:51; Jn 7:43
"Christ": "peace" & not divided: Jn14:27; 1Cor1:13; Eph2:14
Pst - mark & avoid them which cause divisions: Rom 16:17
Be not highminded:Rom11:20; Mind not high things:Rom12:16

"Jesus": standing right of God on "high" in the (plural) heavens
"Christ": seated right of God in heaven: higher than the heavens
Pst - if ye be risen with "Christ", set your affection "above": Col 3

"Jesus": Saviour of Israel (of Jacob/Israel) only
"Christ": Saviour of the world (John 4:42; 1John 4:18)
To wit, that God was in "Christ" reconciling the world:2Cor 5:19
(that God was not in Jesus alienating the world God so loved)

Which things are an "allegory"(Gal 4) & "mystery"(noted 20 times)

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

as you know Jesus constantly hid His divine nature and only twice
was it revealed, firstly at the Transfiguration and secondly after the Resurrection, and this was so that we would not worship Him in His humanity, for He came to serve and not to be served, and so all that He did he directed to His Heavenly Father.
but now that Jesus is risen and glorified we can worship Him as the God, made man.
secondly, the Pharisee`s only appeared on the Jewish scene after the return from Babylon, they had developed there as a sect of the Israelites and eventually came to rule in Jerusalem.
but they had corrupted the law of Moses and the Torah by adding their own imposed rules and regulations and developed the Holy Torah into the Babylonian Talmud, and they used this as the standard for their positions and power over the people.
this is why Jesus called them a brood of vipers and that they were children of their father` the devil`.
to get a better understanding of the wickedness of the Talmud, you can type` babylonian talmud, into google and you will be very surprised at what you find.
kind regards.

O.k....curious what verse you are referring to...John 14:28 and John 16:17 both say those words (in KJV) but both are talking about Jesus saying He was going to go to Heaven and that the Disciples shouldn't fear. So I don't know where you are getting the rest of that from.
