I don't know where you live but all our Chuck E, Cheeses are in the suburban areas or shopping centers.
Now if you want to ask why they put all the Chinese restaurants (that aren't run by Chinese people)
in ghetto areas you may get some good answers.

Any ghettos I saw never had a play area nearby or a Chuck E. Cheese's. They were lucky to have stripped swing sets....

Not all Chuch E Cheeses are in Ghetto areas. Although Chuch E Cheeses may see a opputunity for cheap land and leasing a building in those areas. Boosting revenues for cheaper area. Thats what I would do. Although bigger buisnesses may of outpayed them in "nice" areas!

They are? I did not know that!

My hubby and I wanted to go out so we took our little one to a nice suburban chuck e cheese. It was a good atmosphere for him, considering he is little and loud.

In response to some of the other answers:
Sometimes parents want to take their kids to kid appropriate restaurants where they can be loud and play!

I just hate it when parents take their small kids (under age 8) out past a certain time and expect them to be good and sit still in a nice restaurant. If you want a nice meal, call a babysitter!

I agree! It seems like they are in lower class areas and are filled with lower class people. Not that that is a bad thing. Maybe that is Chuck E.'s clientel.
