My husabnd will be deploying for Iraq in Jan, so I really wanted to make this christmas a great one. We are so broke, barely getting by right now. So I know I will not be able to give my kids a good christmas. most of all they really need clothes. Does anyone know any good orgnaizations that it might not be too late to get sponsered by or something? Any advice would help. I have already been hand making most of what I've got so far, but I don't have a sewing machine so I can only do so much.

Look in the phone book to find your Volunteer Bureau in your town, or the Community Service Bureau (may go by different names). Tell them what you are looking for and they will be able to assist you. I would also go to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, call the newspapers, etc. they should be able to tell you or refer you to places that can assist you with providing christmas for you kids. Plus churches too. . .

Call some churches.....they can point you in the right direction and even help themselves!
