What regrets do you have that you wish you could take back?

Although there are some things I wish I did not do in life, there's nothing I can do to change the fact that I did them. Dwelling on my past is a complete waste of time. The one thing I do take with me though, is learning from my mistakes. Mistakes help make us who we are. If you take the time to learn from your mistakes so as to not make them again, you really don't have anything to regret.

I regret never making love to my first love.
I regret not being a good student in high school.
I regret eating too much candy.
I regret all the times I was mean, but couldn't help it.
I regret eating too much.
There are others, but the thing I regret the most, is not pursuing someone I REALLY LOVED and then married.

Having children when I was 19 and 23. If I had of known then what I know now, I'd have waited until I had more money, better job, and relationship security instead of being broke, wondering why I'm at my dead-end job, living with a cheating abusive hubby and now stuck being a single mom for the past 11 years. I'd still have them, just not when I was that young.

The only regret I have is not standing up for myself when I had the chance.
Now my inlaws treat me as something lower than the sweat of a bloody hemmoroid.

When I was a teenager, I dumped a guy because my friends told me to.
I've always regretted that, because he took it really badly, and I really liked him. But my friends didn't, because he wasn't "one of us".
I wish I could go back and tell myself not to be a wuss and do what made me happy and not what my friends told me to do. I wish I could explain to him that I was young and stupid and didn't have the guts to tell my friends where to step off.

I wish that i got to know guys better before i starting getting into a serious relationship with any guy. I have a bad habit of spilling the beans all that one time.
