I had taken a cable connection but few months later, I get it disconnected. But after the disconnection also, my TV continued to catch signals(weak) through the same cable(coaxial). I want to know that can I increase those signals?

I am not quite sure if I understand your question. But, in general, there are several ways to increase a signal across a cable, whether it be coax, RCA or VGA.

1. Shorter the cable, the better. Signals degrade over long distances.

2. High quality shielded cable. Other electronics or cabling, especially power cables, will create interference.

3. Buy an amplifier. This is the more expensive route, but by amplifying the signal, you will get a stronger signal.

If you tinkered with the coax cable and now you are getting a weak signal, it sounds like you may have damaged the cable. I suggest replacing the coax cable.

Also, if you have the standard analog cable package, you can greatly increase your image quality by going with a digital or digital HD package. Then, if your TV supports it, connect it via component, DVI or HDMI.

The cable is simply acting as an antenna. Any wire will do that. Usually, the longer the better. I suggest you get a cheap antenna and try it from inside the house.
