Really in the real world - not Y!A where there is a preponderance of fundamentalists. Any faith - do they really go by the tenents or do they fudge a bit? For example I don't think I have met a single Christian who has not had pre-maritial or extra-marital sex and I live in a very conservative Christian area. Dietary restriction? Dress?

My whole family (on the exception of about four people) is Christian, and none of them have lived up to the title.

But i hope that i can live up to the title 'christian' (and i mean the title of a christ follower and not the blood thirsty, sign carrying prick) :)

To have a faith and actually follow it are two different things. Many claim to be "Christian" but are nothing of the sort. Most people who actually believe in their faith will follow it as prescribed by their book, while those who do not fully believe will not fully follow. It sounds like your conservative Christian area is more of a front to what is really going on.

Salutations!
I really don't think most people even truly know beyond a shadow of a doubt that their faith or religious persuasion is 100% the truth and nothing but the truth. So I am just assuming that for the most part they are in a state of confusion and try really hard for the most part to live up to the expectancies of others. His story has shown that any time man has anything to do with anything, how can you fully believe it.
Thank you for your wonderful question and please have a beautiful and blessed day!

Charmaine XOXO!

Most Christians live their faith by their own interpretations of the Book, which is very different from living by what the Book actually prescribes. This should be obvious from the fact that the various interpretations of the Book conflict with one another on virtually every point, while the true meaning of the Book obviously cannot conflict with itself.

Fairy tales and legends from the Midle East are just that : Tales and Legends.
Thinking that they are for real is a form of mental disease.
Most people just pretend that they believe for various social reasons. Of course they dont follow what is prescribed. They just pretend and continue to live their lives... Cheating, lying, deceipt are the basis of Christianity. Famous televangelist go and have fun with male hustlers (and they are right to enjoy life) using their congregation's money. Catholic priests molest defenseless childrens (and they are wrong) under the protection of their Church.... That's conservative christian era for you.
