Canned goods are safe and good to eat for many, many yearsr as long as the can is not bulging or broken open in the slightest way but dented cans are ok. They have found caches of canned goods at the South and North Poles from when they were first explored and the food was still good.

Are you sure you haven't eaten it already and are just asking us if you're gonna die now?!! LOL Seriously though, I wouldn't do it but .... I've heard as long as the can isn't dented/bulged it's ok. Another way to tell is if the inside of the can is a different color (black) when you open it, it's not good. But they make expiration dates for a reason and I for one totally swear by them.

...probably...as long as the can isn't damaged or dented...

...but for $0.89 you could get yourself a brand new can of soup...
aw heck, if you're bothering to ask us you're almost for sure gonna eat it anyways!

You won't die.
