Dont muslims of today remind you of how Christianity used to be 200 years ago?

Todays muslims remind me so much of all the fire and brimstone preachers that used to be the norm many years ago.

Would you think that in another 200 year time muslims will catch up with how the modern world is today?

Christianity of 200 years ago was propagated by preaching, not by the sword. Christians don't cut your head off if you refuse to become Christian.

Half the people on here show that Christians hav`nt improved much in the last 200 years .the nastiness on here proves they still don`t understand their own religion let alone any one Else's .The Bible is supposed to show people that to be christian they should have tolerance and good thoughts about EVERYONE .No one can be forced into being a Muslim ,it wouldn`t count .and if the nonsense people have been brain washed into believing were true about Muslims wanting to force other countries to convert .why do so many Muslim countries have Christians in there own country Look at Iraq there were more than a million practising Christians living there in peace and friendship with Muslims all faiths lived together in peace until the west invaded with their christian values and turned the country into a hell hole.This sort of thing is why they hate the west not Religion

you don't have to go that far, look at Northern Ireland, protestants and catholics killing each other, the Balkan states, also roman catholics against orthodox catholics...pure hatred wrapped in religion. religion should give you hope, love and should make you stronger. but on the big scale, it's all used for the opposite. catholics saying you'll rot in hell if you are gay or if you question anything in the world.what's the difference between a muslim fanatic (no offense to muslims in general) and a catholic like that these days? nothing really.the catholic talks the talk (without a face) and the muslim walks the walk. (no offense to true catholics either)
to answer the question, not even the Christians are cathing up with modern times. i dont think it's a matter of time, it's a matter of communities getting stronger and alienate the 'bad' ones, to show them that hatred is not the way to anything great...

I don't know where you got the idea that "fire and brimstone" disappeared from christianity 200 years ago -- haven't you seen any christian TV lately?

Hatred between different religions is a given -- they all think they're "right" and anybody who doesn't believe as they do is "wrong." And they want to get rid of "wrong" in the world. Don't kid yourself into thinking today's christians are mild-mannered, kind people...they're just as militant about their world dominance today as they have ever been.

I think Christians should look at what they were doing 700 yrs ago. They had two Popes, one in Rome and one in Avignon, they were corrupt, immoral and brutal. They thought Jerusalem belonged to them. They killed Jews on the way to their first Crusade. Islam, which is about 700 yrs. younger than Christianity, is going through a similar phase. Has nobody learned anything? And hey folks, that applies to Muslims and Jews as well as Christians.

Not sure you have your facts right there. Muslims are generally peaceful people but the culture and nations that have adopted it have a history of unrest. It's just an unfortunate mix coupled with extremism which is dangerous in any religion..

I can challenge any Christian who can read the following quote from the Holy Bible to there families................
If the Bible is our moral guide, then how can it make pornographic statements such as: “...they may eat their own dung and drink their own piss with you” (2 Kings 18:27)? Also consult Numbers 31 where a whole tribe of people, including the elderly and children are slaughtered. The only survivors were the virginal women, who were later raped by the “just and perfect” Moses and his men. Is that what you want your children reading on Sunday?

Christian's has killed more than 15million innocent including the world war , i think most points go to great Christian leader HITLER ..................

Muslims are not supposed to follow society like sheeps, that is why islam is the truth. The quran has always been the same and has never changed, just as the religion has not changed. That just shows that other religions change their religion, which obvoiusly shows that they are not true.
