if miami ink is such a dumb show, then why do you watch it? don't get a tattoo if you don't even know what you want, especially on your side. because it will be large and very prominent, you'll see it every day. think it over and wait until it is something that is very special to you, that you are personally attracted to.

I was 18 when i got my tattoo and now I hate it! I didnt think about it and just got one. DUMB ME!!! Put A LOT of thought into what you want, its never a bad idea to get others thoughts, but what is most important is that you love it and can deal with it for the rest of your life, think of things that mean a lot to you and you might just think of something great!

Get a tattoo of a Smurf. Smurfette would do. Or a cute teddy bear. Or get a Looney Tunes tattoo. Bugs, Daffy, or Porky Pig.

I've always thought that the celtic trinity symbol with the circle going through every point was a neat, and thats what I'd get if I got a tatoo. I like that it symbolizes everything being interconnected.

I've seen some online that look like open wounds with torn skin & exposed bones, etc. I'm at work now or I'd search for it and include a link. Maybe I'll edit this later.

Make sure it is something that means something to you. Not like a boyfriend/girlfriend thing because you never know where that's gonna go. Inspiration from parents, grandparents, siblings, or kids is great; my first was inspired by my daughter. just make sure it's not something your gonna regret in a year or two!

My advice is to put a fair amount of time into deciding what you want.
Don't just do a rush job because chances you will regret your decision.

Get one that is just stripes. As you get older and your skin loosens up you can scale what has happened over the years.

wow that's inspired.
maybe just ask the tattoo artist to do whatever they want to for their practice...i mean who really cares what it is, it'll be unoriginal and unnecessary and you'll have it to sag and stretch with you forever.
maybe, like some Chinese characters that spell out something that reflects your personality, like, you know, "COOL-ROCK-TELEVISION-MYSPACE-DIDDY-THONG"
or a Fairy or butterfly, you don't see too many of those on girls lower backs.
