Okay, I have a music appreciation class in college and a female friend of mine who graduated a yr ahead of me from the same hs has the same class, just right after me. One of our assignments was to go to a concert and then write a paper on it. There's a certain book that we needed, so I went to the library and checked it out so we could use it. Well, the rough draft is due tomorrow and she needs the book, so she'll probably come to my house and pick it up. All that for this...we went to the concert together and I havent seen her since (t'giving break). We never really said the concert was a date, but i perceive it that way b/c i paid for dinner and both our tickets. I was thinking about asking her out on a real date the next time i see her just the two of us which may or may not be today. I was thinking about doing it this way: See additional details

Me: So, would call our outing the other night a date?
Rachel: yes/no
Me: If I were to ask you out on a real date (movie, bowling) what would you say?
Rachel: yes/no
Me if yes: I continue to talk about date possibilities
Me if no: Then I'll say "then I wont ask."
Do you think she'd buy this? Do you have another suggestion as to how I should ask her?
Any advice you could give would be appreciated.
