Hourly rate times estimated number of hours plus materials (paint at cost...give them the bill).

I received this information from an insurance adjuster in the Gulf Coast Region. I hope it helps. The insurance company was paying 65 cents per sq. ft. to repaint damaged homes. That price is for labor only!

first you measure the square footage of each surface to be painted, ie: each wall, length x height ect... figure how much paint you need, usually first coat figure 300-350 sq. feet per gallon second coat 400-450 per gallon. figure the total cost of materials, ie: paint, primer, brushes, tape, filler etc. then figure how long it will take and charge them by the hour for labor. for instance you think it will take 30 hours and you want 20 dol per hour charge them 600 for labor plus the cost of materials and supplies.
