We are all priests according to the word, of the new covenant. So, if you are born again, and spirit filled you can lay hands, and heal, and through faith have the gifts and fruits of the spirit. IT is not for "church" only.
As far as blessing water, I have never read in the bible where that is a part of anything other than the tradition of man.
Jesus was baptized in a river, I don't think they blessed the water, just the Father....

First of all, the Bible doesn't talk about blessing water and it having any power. Actually the Bible calls that all of us should be sanctified. 1 Corinthians 1:2 says that we are sanctified by Christ-not man. Hebrews 10:29 says that it's Jesus' blood that sanctifies us.So I'm sorry you were lied to and feel that you need some guy to do it for you. Water has no power-only Jesus salvation can do it.

The 'church' does not like it when people take power into their own hands, but scriptural, they do not have a leg to stand on. The disciples were baptizing long before they were told to 'go out and preach, and baptize'. If you feel that the Holy Ghost is leading you into all truth, then study first, until you have a good basic knowledge of the Word, before you think about baptizing.

Better yet - why can't people bless themselves? Who said you can't bless the water? Of course then the question begs to be asked - why do you feel it is *your* duty to bless others? If so - why not just go to seminary, get a religious education, and become a clergyman?

If you are a man of God (or a Godly man) why can't you do it? What church / domination do you belong too?

What makes you feel worthy? If you are worthy then two or more gathered will say so. So forgive us, who are you? And then let us judge you and if two or more heartfully say your blessing is holy, it is! I am glad you asked. Forgiveness and Affirmation.....Forgive Affirmed Spirit, worthiness.
