Ironically, the bible.

The entire text of the bible is freely available at the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a personal printed copy can be requested at no charge:

Jehovah's Witnesses are happy to study the bible with an interested person using any translation the householder may prefer, and in fact Jehovah's Witnesses themselves distribute several translations. Jehovah's Witnesses attach no particular infallibility or inspiration to any one translation.

It is sad when argumentative persons distract from the bible's clear message of Kingdom "good news".

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Of course the bible which is translated to "book of stories" in hevrew. So people basically change the book os stories to what they seem fitting. But secondly, though not a book, is the US constitution. It originally had 10 amendmants and I really don't know how many there are now. Nor does the bill of rights have true wieght anymore. The sad part about it is, these are the laws of what america is supposed to be based upon. And if a war is to come to US soil, then marshall law will be implemented and the constituition will be disgarded. After the war, it will be open season on new constituions. For example, the right to bear arms. Not in NY bc of the Rockafeller Law. You can only have a hand pistol if you work for some kind of security force(security guard, parole officer, bounty hunter, cop, etc) or own a personal business. I swear, this place is getting messed up. PEACE!

I haven't done much research on the subject, but I'd guess "Steal This Book" by Abbie Hoffman. I would also venture to say the Bible because they're so common in hotels. I know someone who has stolen one.

Whats your point? I steal them to use as toilet paper and joint rolling papers..... And for all the pornographic incest stories it contains too. But I certainly dont steal it because it is the truth!

You should note that the Gideon's place Bibles in hotel rooms because they WANT YOU to take them. Thats not stealing. So, I guess the Bible isnt stonlen that often - but it is given away often (probably like regifting - no one else wants it either...) Looks like the Guiness Book of Records wins this one....

Dont you hate it when youre wrong? I bet you do!

People who take Bibles from hotel rooms are not stealing. The Gideons place them there free of charge in the hope people will take them.
