Links here are as safe (or unsafe) as links anywhere else. Y!A doesn't screen them for viruses, adware, etc.

My advice to you is to not click on ANY links provided in a Y!A question or answer. That's my policy.

Take all answers given on the Yahoo answers site with a grain of salt and remember that the answers are posted by other Yahoo members who may or may not have your best intentions in mind. Always read the fine print in a software's EULA before allowing it to install on your system, this can often let you know whether there is a piggy-back adware piece in there.

I'll give you a tip for finding out the reputation of programs - go to Google, then go into Google Groups. Search for the program you're considering... see what the reviews are like. Spyware is outed pretty fast on there, and the records go back a looong time.

Oh, and it's "Firefox" not "Firefox Explorer". If you need two words it's "Mozilla Firefox". And yes, Firefox is a truely awesome program. Check out the add-ons!

There is nothing to worry about if you are using a good antivirus as you could have problems just surfing the net.
