Good one and based upon human truth - if we're down in the dumps we stay that way until we change our mood to upbeat. Rather like looking on the brighter side of life.

Just what makes that little old ant
Think he can move a rubber tree plant
Everyone knows an ant can't move a rubber tree plant
But he's got high hopes
He's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie in the sky hopes
So any time you're feeling low, 'stead of lettin' go, just remember that ant...
Woops there goes another rubber tree plant.

better to be born lucky than rich

if you worry you die
if you don't worry you still die
so why worry

and being from Ireland my favourite is the old Irish saying
may the road rise up to meet you
may the wind be always on your back
may the sun always be on your face
and may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead

Sorry, it wouldn't 'jeer' me up one iota.

Back to the drawing board with ya (well, PC + dictionary)

I rather like the opposite of what you attempted..........

'If you can keep your head

whilst all about you are losing theirs.....

''BEWARE.'' Maybe they know something you don't!'

I go by the quotation that is on a picture on my fridge. "Cheer up - things could be worse, so I cheered up - things got worse" Just about sums up my life at the moment.

It's a good quote and a true one. When we change our vibrations, or energies, events fall into place for us. Positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative.
