As you are aware, 2 more Canadians were killed yesterday in Afghanistan. Canada has lost more in Afghanistan than the UK,& %wise the US. The Taliban were put in power by the US,and kept there by the US's ally, Saudi Arabia, who in turn financed the 9/11 terrorists, who were Saudi Arabians. After 9/11 the US removes the Taliban and have so-called elections. The Pres., basically appointed by the US and his government made up of the Northern Alliance warlords. No , Canada should not be in Afghanistan. If the US would butt out of the affairs of other nations, 9/11 and the terrorism would never have happened. They are to dense to realize this and from comments made by others here, they don't care if Canada is there or not , so pull the Canadians out asap. The US doesn't need help, look at the great job they are doing in Iraq.

The article below, obviously written by an American, is none the less interesting. If it hadn't been for Russia, we probably all be singing," Deutchland Uber Allus", but I digress

Yes Canada should pull its troops and go back to the "peace keeping "role ithey are supposed to be doing, not being shot and killed because of the Canadian government cowering down to the war monger Bush. We are next if the oil fields in Alberta pan out as expected. See how much the USA needs our help then. Our Water is already in thier sights.Fighting terrorism is a good thing but this war is not being fought over terrorism.

Terrorism is the act of using terror as a weapon. You can't wage war on an act, why not just wage war on the act of firing a gun? The elected officials of Canada will do what is best for their country, at least I would hope they would, but fighting a war against an idea is a waste of time, money, and, worst of all, lives.

What you are asking is a very broad question. Think about! It's like asking if developing a cure for cancer is a good thing. Grow up. I can't see where it would make even the slightest bit of difference, whether Canada pulled it's troop or not!

Wars on concepts, rather than nations, fail miserably time after time. For example, look at the war on drugs or the war on poverty in the US. Declaring war on terrorism is a misguided approach to dealing with the problem. If we have intelligence (i.e. real intelligence, not Bush intelligence) that indicates where a terrorist cell is located, of course action should be taken to stop that cell. However, what we are doing in Iraq is clearly adding fuel to the fire rather than achieving our supposed objective of quelling terrorism.

As far as Canada pulliing its troops, the answer is yes, IMHO.

Terrorism is world wide now, and unless someone shuts the border, there will be terrorism for a long, long time.

If Hitler had been fought from the beginning, WWII would not have been as big, bloody or long. In the same way, the world must not appease the terrorists, we must meet them head on and show that we will prevail.
