first of all, that's terrible, you didn't deserve to be attacked!
just politely ignore it, she probably wants to get a reaction from you. if you don't give it any more emotional energy- she will go away
or-
if you feel violated- write the yahoo people to complain
or- if you really can't let it go. write back how you are feeling, that it was abusive of her to attack you for no reason, and perhaps she is striking out because something in her life is causing her pain. but- only do that if your real email is hidden and she can't reach you any other way (360 page, etc..) and you feel it's neccesary for you to stick up for yourself. there is nothing wrong with that.you can state your peace without being mean. just state the truth.

Hun - Just let it go. I get messages all the time, especially when I answer on the religion category because I am Christian. Some have been horrid. Usually right after they send a message they change it so you cannot reply. Just consider the kind of person who would do this kind of thing. Best of luck. GBU

Ignore her babe. You don't need to have unique names, there are plenty of people called Rachel and I don't tell all the others to change it, quite the opposite (c'mon all you Rachels !!)
Just simply tell her that you have your own reasons to have that name, and if she wants a unique one then she ought to change hers.
If she's not taking emails then ignore her, if she continues report her to yahoo for abuse (harassment)

occurred to me plenty, the cases I wish i might want to have taken it decrease back change into at the same time as me and my female friend purely all started courting. I instructed her I hated speaking on the phone, so for the time of the communique I saved asking if i might want to dangle up. yet, i had to stay and refer to her for some hours; get to carry close her, and pay interest to her voice.

Why can't you just ignore her? So what if she doesn't think your username is not that unique? If you absolutely can't let it go, just explain your username and say you hopes this clears things up for her. If she continues, then report her to Yahoo.

Your best bet is probably to ignore it. I get a bunch of emails from people on here. Usually when I don't respond to one I don't hear from them again.

Just ignore her. She's just being nasty. Don't worry about it. You can always turn your email off for a little bit until that person disappears.

I just wanted to say thanks for your answer. I guess I sounded a little picky, but theres a reason for all the things I can't do. I edited and explained a little more. I could really use your advise so if you have the time could you re-answer using edit? Thanks.
