Do they refuse to use 2006 years after Christ as their year?

Boy the athiests are cranky today. And anyway we evolutionists have abolished this days of the week and months of the year nonsense as it's clearly a throwback to an even stupider Pagan era. Since it's the 332nd day of the year today would be 15,345,566,456.90958904109589041095890410958904 (oh look it repeats forever) or 15,345,566,456 and 332/365ths.

Evolution is a scientific fact, not a religion or belief system. Do you doubt the theory of gravity as well or believe the earth to be flat? There isn't such a thing as an evolutionary calendar.

I don't know. Interesting thought though. Is there such a thing as an evolutionary calendar? If so, Christ would have no bearing on the year.

So what if we measure years according to a religions date, the calendar months and days are from Pagan religions, as are most of the planets names. It is just a point of reference that has been recognized for too long to practically be changed.

Scholarly literature is now using the acronym "C.E." (for Common Era) to refer to the year, rather than "A.D." precisely because we are entering a post-Christian time in western thought. These abbreviations are slowly becoming more well known as people read them in their college text books.

Besides the fact that it is widely understood that Jesus was born not precisely in the year 1, but more likely between 4 BCE and 10 CE, the convention of using that moment of time has benefits in the universal understanding it presents.

What the piss are "evolutionary calendars"?

A lot of people will use CE and BCE as year markers.

You also forget that humans haven't been on this earth for billions of years.

Unfortunately, we have no choice but to use 2006 as it is recognized by most of the free world.

Not to mention, no one, not even your bible, has the exact year of the earth's creation. So, how is it possible to date it...

We are using the only date that we have an exact number for...

Don't be snide and condescending. Your tricks won't work.

I have never heard of an evolutionary calendar.

And evolution has nothing to do with religion. It only denounces your god if you choose to see it that way. Many Christians agree with evolution.

It is 2006 C.E.

2006 has nothing to do with when Jesus was born as Jesus was born around 4 B.C.E.
