Puppy food has more vitamins to help puppies grow.
She may put on weight and have looser stool but if you don't have these problems go ahead and feed it to her.

Only feed her puppy food until she's one years old. So, you can change any brand of puppy food to your liking. What you need to do is take the canned food you are using now, use half of that portion and mix with the new Iams dry food. You are basically slowly adding in the dry food to eventually transition over entirely the new food. If you present the dry food by itself to her without the transition it can make her tummy upset and cause diarrhea problems. The transition should only last a few days of doing the mix combination while adding more dry each day and less canned food. heck you can even combine both mixed together. Dogs love that combo! Mine loves wet/dry mixed together!! He does a dance for it Hope I helped! Oh PS that poster below said the wrong thing about being too young at 3 months. If she has teeth, they are baby teeth. They are supposed to be chewing on bones or dry food too. it helps encourage the growth of new teeth properly so the baby ones fall out right. I used to be a vet tech assistant long ago .

Puppy food has more fat and calories than adult dog food because puppies (and nursing mothers) need that for growth and nutrition. Adult dogs may gain weight on puppy food if they are not active enough.
Sometimes mixing kibble dog food with a bit of warm water will soften it and create a "gravy" that some dogs like better than dry food.
Try a different brand--she may just be tired of Eukanuba. Would you like to eat the same dry cereal day in and out for 4 years?

Well if your dog is 4 you should feed her adult dog food. Even though she looks like a puppy she is an adult dog and needs certain types of nutrtion that only adult dog food can give her. I have a yorkie that a little over one that use to eat eukanuba but I switched her dog food. It takes a few weeks for them to adjust to it but you can do it. Start by mixing the old with the new and then eventually using the new dog food.Adult dog food.

If you have been feeding her eukanuba, you might try Science Diet. You have to buy it at the vet, but it is no more expensive than the other and she will probably eat it. You might try a small bag first to make sure she will eat it before buying a large bag. Another good brand is Iams adult dog food. Oh, by the way, the Iams puppy food won't hurt her, but you don't want to give it to her all of the time. It will make her gain weight.

She is 4 years old? and still eating puppy food? that isn't very good you should be feeding her adult food, because it contains the vitamins an adult dog needs. And Puppy food has more fat and calories than adult dog food because puppies (and nursing mothers) need that for growth and nutrition. I feed my 1 year old shih-tzu Iam Adult Food and she loves it, I'd say switch to adult food.

With my bichon I have gone through two different foods. The breeder fed her Iams, so I continued, but one day she just stopped eating it. So I tried Beneful by Purina and she absolutely loves it. It has little moist pieces that dogs love and it looks more appetizing than Iams. You should check it out. Oh--the wet food is a real winner too. I would recommend it to any dog owner.

try other brands like neutros or science diet which are also healthier than supermarket grade food. puppy food is not advised for older dogs b/c they are loaded with high calories to plump a puppy up and gain healthy weight during the growth period. as an adult a dog needs a lower calorie diet and nutrients that will maintain a healthy weight and provide energy for an active lifestyle. try to mix your dry food with some wet food to make it more flavorful. or just add water to moisten the nibble and release more of the inner ingredients.
