Once when I went to Chicago, I had a pizza in a small, shady restaurant - but trust me the pizza I had there was the best pizza I have ever eaten since I came to America! Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the place, though :(

Which do you say are the best places to eat pizza in Chicago?

Gino's East is by far the best. Pizzeria Uno is a close second.

Also there's:
Chicago's Pizza @ 3006 N Sheffield Ave
Giordano's @ 135 E Lake St
Leona's @ 3215 N Sheffield Ave
Lou Malnati's @ 439 N Wells St
My Pie Pizzeria @ 2417 N Clark St
Pompei @ 1531 W Taylor St
Ricobene's Pizzeria @ 252 W 26th St
Candlelite Chicago @ 7452 N Western Avenue

I agree with Gino's East, Lou Malnatti's, Uno and Due (the original pizza place). The best Pizzeria Uno is the original in the near north side, you can really tell the differenec in the crust and quality in contrast to any suburban franchise.

One other pizza I really like that I haven't yet seen mention of is Connie's.

I've never been to Pisano's but there was a blurb on it on the news about it making the top of a survey recently.

If shady meant Graffitti on the wall, then you definitely meant the Original Gino's East. I think on Ontario but I'm not sure -- best way to find it (if it's even still there) is to find Niemann Marcus on North Michigan and go 'round the corner -- can't miss it.

I like Riccobenes on 26th St. They do have some other locations, but it is still family owned and run. The one on 26th St is the original!

I have to say, I am originally from the Chicagoland area and just recently moved to PA, just north of Baltimore, MD and we are having a really hard time finding a good pizza place out here. Chicago has the best pizza, if you stick to the non-chain resturaunt pizza places its hard to go wrong in Chicago when it comes to pizza!

You HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO go to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder on Clark. It has to have to most delicious and unique pizza in all of Chicago!

The pizza is like a pizza pot pie that is inverted on the plate. Inside is mushrooms the size of doorknobs, your choice of yummy meat or veggie sauce, and all the cheese you can ask for. They also have this flatbread that is to die for and salad dressings that you will be craving every night.

Kind of unknown to most, but popular to true Chicagoans. Get there early because the line to get in is crazy! Note: The guy taking the names does not write them down. Do not question his memory....he will remember and will yell at you if you tell him otherwise!

oh my gosh. . . I ate there and signed that wall besides yet I actually were married in view that then yet i became too on a classification vacation! this position became outstanding and the foodstuff became large! It became about 2 a million/2 years in the past for me and they were purely down the line from Hooters. I were given myself a blouse! that vacation became outstanding i imagine that it became my artwork classification. We went to the artwork institute there and seen each and every of the superb artwork works and then went on to the army pier and out out golfed available! it became sooooooo a lot exciting! i imagine that the call of the position is Pizzeria Uno's, or ginos east or something like that, i'm no longer sensible. the purely undesirable element that I save in ideas there is that the look ahead to their pizza became sooooooo lengthy! and the beverages took perpetually! in case you bypass there again i wager you'd be desiring to take a e book with ya!

Giordanos is the best place to order Authentic pizza. It is 3inches of chewy goodness. The best deep dish around. Try the Garlic Meat Lover. They also ship pizzas as well.

Try the butter crust at Lou's...so sinful. Edwardo's is great as is "Chicago Pizza and Pasta" in Lincoln. Nancy's Pizzzeria is very good as well.

Definitely
Lou Malnati's

439 North Wells Street
Chicago, IL 60610

Phone 312.828.9800
Fax 312.828.0746

but a great thing about Lou's is that you don't have to live in Chicago to eat their pizza. They can ship it to you.
