£1

that is the princely sum of a pound....

So in your pocket you have ( 3 x £2) = £6.....

1/2 = 6/2 = 3
1/4 = 6/4 = 1.50
1/3 = 6/3 = 2
1/5 = 6/5 = 1.20
1/6 = 6/6 = 1

hope that helps explain

If one third of your money is 2, then you obviously have 6 pounds total. The rest is cake. (i.e., YOU should be able to figure out what 1/6 of 6 is)
