Well it seems you have fallen victim of Migraine Headaches. There is not much that you can do with them, try and keep away from bright light and noise. HeadOn is a very good medicine to use, you apply it straight on your temples and it seeps in. It acts quickly, and the medicine makes your head very cold making it feel very good. You may also want to try rubbing Rose Quartz on it. It is a gem which stays cold also, and it is known for taking away headaches. Also there is many pills directed just towards migraines, but I suggest getting doctor prescribed pills if they are as bad as you say. Look also and ask your family if this is common with anyone else, because migraines can usually be hereditary. I also suggest in that two week time you are waiting to go to the doctor, make a headache journal and take it to your appointment with you, it will greatly help them make a good diagnoses.

Demerol! However if you let it - it can be addictive as well. But that goes with all pain killers - prescribed or not. For just over the counter - go with advil liquidgels (not the regular advil, liquid gels only). I tore up my hip two years ago (hairline fracture and two torn ligaments) and it hurt like hell. I stayed on the advil for nearly a year and never got addicted to it. It pretty much managed the hip pain and kept other pains at bay.
Good luck - pain is no fun no matter what.
