No, first he started off saying "In my name I pray."

Then he thought... "You know - this is ridiculous... why do I have to pray? I'll just snap my fingers and make it happen!"

And then when he was on the cross, he thought: "Hey, you know what, Mary? Maybe you should stop crying and just go get a fricken ladder and some pliers!"

He (Yeshua) didn't believe in titles, nor was He bound up in all these earthly head trips that the majority of people are in (like "sucking up" to people). He didn't even encourage those whom he ministered to do Him homage. He is (an during His incarnation) THE Christ (anointed one). He would have no need to pray in anyone's name for He was (even during his incarnation)co-equal and co-existent with G-d. This aspect of the trinity is something which the Jews (of which He was) hotly contest because they believed that a triune G-d was opposed to their cherished belief in monotheism. Yet it is interesting to note, that during the course of the Passover Seder (the last supper), there are three pieces of matzah (unleavened bread) in a cloth container known as an "echad" (meaning unity or oneness). Hence, the three in one. The term "Christians" was coined essentially by the Romans at the time. The followers of Yeshua (Jesus) were in fact made up of mostly Jewish converts and were the first "Messianics" (believing that the Messiah had come).

Jesus was Jewish, Christianity is an offshoot of the Hebrew faith that started after his death.

Of course the thing I find of greatest interest is that Jesus was considered a Rabbi, but according to Hebrew faith he would have had to be married to be a Rabbi, and any Christian would tell you that he was never married, and he never especially was married to that Mary woman.

He did pray in the name of his father. When his disciples asked how they should pray he told them to start out by saying "Our Father which art in Heaven". This later became the Lords Prayer that we know of today.

This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
