I've already been to tiger direct, and not interested in shopping on ebay, can you give me other ideas on where to buy a tv/monitor, and or a stereo at a good price?

I don't know about electronics but Overstock.com tends to have really great deals and are fairly inexpensive. I bought several things from this site and save sometimes up to 80% off the retail value.
