Does anybody know the Colombus Hostel in NYC ? (Colombus Ave; 83rd Street ?)?

I'm going to stay in this hostel begining of December and i'm really worried about the (bad) comments i've read about it on the net ?
I'm comming w/my bfriend and a friend and that's their first time in Beautiful NY I don't want them to be disapointed or think NY is dirty...

Its a place to sleep that won't break the bank and it is convenient. If you can afford $200+ per night then you should opt for something nicer.
I stayed there with my boyfriend. Again, it was all about affordability.
