uh no, thats only 7 years difference. My husband is 35 and I am 25, 10 years apart.he has 2 previous children and we have 2 together. The 23 year old is over the age of 18 and considered to be an adult so I dont see a problem with it at all.

My mother is 15 years older than my step-dad. They've been together since I was around 5 or so, which is 23 years. He's treated her better than any other man she ever dated. He's 46 now, so he was 23 when he started dating her, making her 38.
I'd say that it would depend on if the man is mature enough yet and if he is able to be responsible for a child. I have a younger sister, so at 23, my step-dad took on that responsiblity and he did a pretty damn good job at it. You need to judge for yourself whether or not he's mature and responsible enough to handle a relationship with an older woman and a child.

What's the issue here? Seven year age difference is basically nothing...my hubby and I were married at 22 and had our first kid at 23..so, it's not as if all 23 yr olds still act like teenagers....if you like each other and he treats you and your child well, I say have fun !

If he was 30 and you were 23 you wouldn't think to ask. Don't let society's double standard keep you from a good man. Women can date younger men too. However, I would keep him away from your kids until it becomes serious. That way if it doesn't work out your kid hasn't formed any strong attachment. Get ya groove on Stella!

Is the 23 year old mature and worth wasting time with?
Theres 7 years between me and my husband, but iam the younger. And girls tend to me more mature then guys.
There are very rare instances where the guy is really worth the time at such a young age. But i have yet to see it.

I've known men who made great fathers at 18 years old and men who weren't ready for fatherhood at 36. If he's not interested or capable of being good to your kid, then yes it's wrong. But his age has nothing to do with it.

No there is nothing wrong with it. My fiancee is 26 and Im 31 and we couldnt be any happier. Love is love no matter how old someone is....with in reason. But as long as you are both mature adults it shouldnt matter about age.

Look at it this way... 30 years from now when you're 60 and he's 53, will there be that much of an age gap?...
