throughout my life I've always had a question about the christian's god's teaching of equality and free will. It all sounded nice but I relized no one really followes it so it is like hypocracy in the sence of saying to respect one person's wishes to live how they want to and belive in what they choose. Say they choose to be Pagan or Wiccan, then he turns turn around and says that because they don't believe in the christian's god then they are evil and forever condemed. How can you explain?

the bible god and jesus-myth are extremely paradoxical. the bible has thousands of errors -- it could never have been written or inspired by a god. it's been almost 2000 years, and over 70% of the people on earth reject it today. go figure!!

Some say free will and omniscience cancel each other out. I think ppl can have free will but if God is omniscient, He knows very well that not everyone will believe so there's Hell...but then that contradicts loving...I don't see Hell as 'tough love' if it's eternal when tough love is done with the intent of learning and having another opportunity to choose differently...
Gnostic Christianity believes Yahweh is a false god but another exists that is the good guy and that Satan's not real; a made-up character to take the blame.

Because Christianity doesn't like competition. That is why the Burning Times and the Inquisition happened. Christians like to say they treat everyone equally so they look like the "good guys" but the history of their faith paints a very different picture.

As a Christian I do not have the power to condemn anyone. If asked, I will tell them what the Bible says. If they choose not to belive the Bible I leave it at that. Christians love people and hate to see them perish. In their zeal to convert people they sometimes make mistakes and say things they shouldn't say. Why can't you forgive them and understand their love for you?

The Christian religion was born out of paganism. There are many pagan God story's that are identical to the whole story of Jesus. These stories predated Jesus by 1,500 years. The bible is full of pagan story's. Do a web search for "The history of Christianity" It's a real eye opener for anyone. I notice that people of Christian faith, don't want it challenged. You'd thing they would welcome it.

This is what I love about the idea of freedom of religion and separation of church and state. Our country is set up so that the government can make no laws discriminating for or against any particular religion. A secular government prevents the enforcement of one ideology against others so long as none is harming society or infringing on individual rights. I think this is a good system and should be protected.

shadow t, you have got to understand the truth. Read the bible and follow it. Because if you don't believe in his words, you don't believe in him. God is love and seek to only bring his children back safely in his arms.

So when you turn your back on his teachings his way you turn your back on him. Seeking magic/witchcraft and then wondering why it's not pleasing to Gods eyes is blind.

Of course Gods not happy with that. Turn and face your Father you will see he never left you Love. God Bless. Love. Amen. I hope with all my heart you find what your looking for. Much love.

God gave us a law, but He also gave us the freedom to choose His way or our's, those that choose the wrong way must pay the consequinces, it is like if you try to defy the law of gravity, no matter how much you believe you can fly, you can't, you jump off a cliff you will pay the price, even though it was your choose to defy the law of gravity there is still a consiquince for such a choice. Does that make it clearer?

It says that you're either with me or against me. So if you don't like christians and choose paganism, then you are against God, no?

It seems hypocrytical because it is. :) Good call!

It's like the "free will" god gives you to believe in Jesus. And if you chose wrong with this "free will" you get punished forever. Errr, to quote "The Princess Bride" regarding free will, "that word, it does not mean what you think it means."
