Little baked treats and a nice thank you/ miss you poem will be a treasure. I didn't know at the time but when I went off to school and was in much similar straights my family kept the notes and pictures I sent, years later when I moved back home they had made copies for me to see how much I had changed and it really gave me perspective. So give the treats as well as a sweet note you'll be surprised at the value.

hmm depending on your budget which im guessing is very limited you could do a number of options 1. Gift cards $20 ea to where ever 2. Check out bath and body works for some nice bath sets they range in price and size 3. i dont know what either are into but say your brother is into tennis or golf you could get him some tennis balls or golf balls they dont have to be the expensive ones. 4. like you said you could make something visit your local dollar store and get some craft supplies, or make little gift baskets for them..dollar stores are great you can find lots of stuff in them. since xmas is less than a month away its really hard to save up money for gifts and rent, but maybe you could work a little extra overtime each week and save that money towards gifts. hope this helps a little.

It sounds like we're in the same situation money-wise. I'm making truffles for my family members using a recipe from this website. It also has cool packaging ideas. This website has a bunch of really cheap but cool ideas.
Hope this helps!

Hi, you could make little cookies or truffles and then put them in a box on tissue paper, then cover it with nice paper and ribbons and bows-which costs like nothing! But anyway it's the thought that matters and you put a lot of effort baking them! Hope that helps =)

Well, for the girls try this website- www.angel inspiration.co.uk - they sell fabulous hanging crystals and they are only £3.00 or £4.00 each - coloured or clear and look absolutely gorgeous hanging in front of a window- For the guys, a mini bottle of their favourite tipple - you can get them in British Home Stores for just a few pounds too.

homemade cookies and breads. Though the breads probably travel better. You could also make bath salts , lip balms, etc...
Have you ever tried "gifts in a jar" or "gifts in a sack "?

I have these gift tags for Brownies, Cookies, Minestrone soup & Chili. You layer the ingredients in a batter bowl (you can use any jar really) and then gift it. Email me for them because I can't attach them in here.
