Those of you who are not believers in Jesus Christ- Do you at all see anything in any christian on here that you respect or like? I know many have come here in the wrong approach- but are there any christians you have seen that you believe do really care about others? And for those of you who are saved- do you truly come here to share the word of God with others because you do care? And not come here to judge and condemn but share the love of Christ?

I, as a believer in Christ, Jesus, our Lord, come here to share the word of God, and if the Holy Spirit convicts the hearts of those still in sin then so be it, but if thier hearts are harden then I pray for them and let them go about thier day. The end will show what will happen, I am not the judge I am merely a police officer warning the lost of thier day of judgement, for them not to be judged they must accept the one who paid for thier crimes, if they don't then they will be sentenced to eternal damnation.

I think that most Christians are good people. They choose to call themselves Christians, because Christianity is "easy". Except for the funamentalists and hate-mongers, it's not a terrible cult to belong to.

The moderate Christians, at least in America, are usually pretty decent people. They just haven't done their homework. If they did, they would realize that their religion is false, and is based on old middle-eastern mythology. But that doesn't change the fact that many Christian organizations do good things.

In much the same way, I think that most Christians will agree that even though Mormons have wacky beliefs, that are really quite laughable, that doesn't change the fact that they are pretty decent people, and the moral standards they hold to are not terribly off-base.

The fundamentalists are the bad apples that spoil the religions for everyone else. Pushing their wacky beliefs into politics is what gets under everyone else's skin. And you'll see quite a few of these people here on YA.

The sad thing is, the kind-hearted people, that really just want to love their fellow man, would make such superb atheists. Unfortunately, atheism is the minority, and it's not "easy". There is no support for it, and in fact, it causes people to distrust and even hate you. (This is due to fundamentalists...) Until our society as a whole gets better educated, and slips away from its "opiate of the masses", we atheists are going to have to continue to be viewed as "the enemy", even though in most cases we are just as moral, if not moreso, than most Christians.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us. As far as respecting anyone who can subscribe the this idea, even in only a marginal way, we must remember that a little bit of Religion is like a little bit of syphilis, unless eradicated, it always gets worse.

I know a lot of decent, respectful Christians who genuinely care about others (and not just to convert them) in real life, and even notice some that seem like that on here, too.

When I was younger, I assumed the more rude and arrogant ones were the norm, but life has taught me that the ones I described in my first graph are more numerous. This board initially made me forget that for a while.

Sadly, most of the kind, loving Christians long ago abandoned ship with most of the kind, loving atheists. They saw past the bickering and realized nothing was being accomplished and so went on with their lives.

Debra M, I miss the heck outta ya'.

And I find myself wondering why I'm still here, besides being bored at work when I could easily get away with playing World of Warcraft in between the moments I actually have something to do.

As a believer, I come on here not to Judge or condemn, but try to plant a seed. If your not saved ,just ask Jesus to come into your life, and forgive you of your sins, ask him o be your personal Lord and Saviour(thats planting a seed)..I do care, if someone is serious, and not joking around, because hell is real. God created hell for the devil & his angels, he wills that not One go there, becuse you will be a intruder. The devil is a condemn criminal, and he knows his time is running out, so he's trying to take as many as possible with him..

I come to share the knowledge of God and His Son Jesus, because I care.

I know many Christians that I respect and admire. But I do because - a) they are trying to live good lives, b) they are working hard to be good people, and c) that they respect other people and don't go around trying to convert all of us sinners.

I am much more interested in end results - actions and deeds and character - than I am in blind faith and devotion. Many Christians seem to be able to do both.

A

Christianity doesn't interest me but I have family, friends and co-workers who enjoy it and I am truly happy for them. They are nice people, they are polite and tolerant of people like me who follow another religion. I respect the charity work that they do--and in general, they are kind, considerate, mostly honest people.

On-line is a different story. There is a very small percentage on this site who are similar to what I described above.

I have met a few christians that are exceptional - without naming names. Very kind and loving and non-judemental. It must be fantastically frustrating for them.

I have also met a few wiccans that I admire tremendously. What specifically I like is the depth of their intelligence and the degree to which they have thought about their faith.
