Good question. Talk to the priest dude about your problems. He'll talk it over with everyone else.

I honestly don't know what it is. That's why I hate when people ask if I'm "religious". I am a Christian, don't go to church every Sunday... But I notice in the front row there are usually either prisoners let out on day passes or sometimes recovering adicts in the front row. They get up and walk in and out of church (growing up I was a big deal if I'd even get up to go to the washroom). Some Christians I feel get so caught up in THEIR belief that they forget sometimes how someone who was SENT here to show us the way (Jesus) acted. Jesus loved EVERYONE and for some reason people still don't get this. I think the hardest thing for ANY human being to do, regardless of 'faith' is to NOT judge. Maybe quip yourself with some bible versus for next week, and the next time you hear someone in church whispering about you, or being rude to you (go introduce yourself if you're not sure they were talking about you, if you're possitive walk up to them and say:
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you (Matthew 7:12).”
Other things maybe talk to a pastor about it. Or simply just confront whoever is bothering you, or there is the classic: PRAY.
I don't know you, but I'm proud of you for trying to live the right path - it is SUCH a hard thing to do... I would say I'll pray for you, but I'm not the best of Christians and often only find myself praying when in need... Maybe you can pray for me to change that :P

Because they are sinners. They can't help themselves. They need to repent and bring forth the fruits of the Spirit. But instead way too often it's the works of sin that come forth. This is one reason I am an unchurched christian. I find it better to visit with other Christians as friends outside a church (yes we even talk about our faith) that it is getting into a formal church where little power clicks form... If you need the instruction stay in church for the education from the Pastor or the lessons in Sunday School. But if they really bug you like they do me you can read His Word and the Spirit will reveal truth to your mind and heart... Jim

Unfortunately, people tend to find it easier to criticize others than look at what is wrong in their own lives. It makes them feel superior to others, and then they can talk about how someone else is fat / funny looking / a failure / etc. instead of having to face these qualities in themselves. All types of people do it, but you would expect that religious, church-going people would know better. I guess at the end of the day, we're all "human" whether or not we are church-goers. Some people try harder than others to be good people. Some just go to church because they think they "should", even if they don't really believe in the doctrine being taught.

Let's face the fact Bro. Many Christians are hypocrite. That's very true. No such thing as a "perfect" Church.
But, don't look at your Church member, you'll be frustrated.
Please look straight to Jesus Christ who loves you so much and died for you to save you from sin and hell.
Christianity is not about going to Church every week. Christianity is about experiencing God's love everyday and everywhere.
God bless

Unfortunately, a good number of "good Christians" aren't really. They go through their lives surviving on their self-righteous ideals without looking at how pathetic and hypocritical they really are.
That's why I shunned Christianity (though I still have a great respect for the Christian religion as a whole) and became a Wiccan.

Find a new church. It shouldn't be like that. Church members should be very close, loving and accepting of other members. Not all churches are focused on the right thing. It says in Corinthins (I think) the church must be in unity. Otherwise, it will fail.

And the Jews say, 'The Christians stand on nothing' and the Christians say, 'The Jews stand on nothing;' while they both read the same book. Even thus said those, who had no knowledge, like what they say. But God shall judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they disagree

PERHAPS, you have not been going to the Right Church? [IF THERE IS SUCH A THING?]
WHY do you listen to what PEOPLE SAY, and not to What GOD SAYS? Perhaps a reading of John 17:All and Romans 8:All and then you won't listen to PEOPLE?
Thanks, RR, http://home.att.net/~roger459

Christians like all humans suffer from just that, being human. We have a sinful nature. It is much easier for us to preach and condem than it is for us to love and support. I think this is what turns so many people away from the Christ. I just wish people would know that it is Christ they should look.
