I met a man at a coffee shop and we began talking about books and philosophy and stuff like that. he was in town on business and we got along so well that he gave me his e-mail address. For two years we chatted and spoke on the phone. He turned out to be Muslim. He actually lived in the middle east and did business in NY on occasion. I went there to visit him and saw the religion for the first time. He taught me many things when I asked them.
Things didn't work out between us, but Islam was a permanent indentation in my heart. So I did farther research and talked and met with Muslims.
I converted two years after my personal research began and I am very happy with this faith.

I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and from my very first memories there where always Muslim around. They lived next door, ran local shops, where neighbors and friends to my parents, when i went to school there where Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Catholics and Protestants in my class. So living as you can see in a multicultural society i don't ever remember not knowing of Muslims or Islam. As neighbors we would be invited to join in wedding celebrations, etc thing like that. I was not raised Muslim or have any of my family who are Muslim but i did revert to Islam myself 2 years ago. So i guess you could say my impression was always a positive one.

Muslims believe that Jesus is the Messiah and ALL the prophets and ALL their stories are mentioned in the Quran.
i decided to learn for my selfand not listen to what the media says about Islam and found the truth!
i hope others may find it too.

I grew up hearing about the conflict between jews and muslims/Islam in the Middle East. As I grew older to understand it more and then 9/11 occurred. I concluded that religion sucks and muslims/Islam and jews suck @$$. All of this fighting over stupid religion at the core of the conflict.
