My dog is 44 pounds at 6 months. The rescue guessed that he is a German Shepherd/Boxer cross. Most people agree on the Shepherd part. Other suggestions have been pit bull terrier, staffordshire terrier, cattle dog, and Belgian shepherd instead of German. One woman is convinced that he's part Shar Pei. He does have a lot of loose skin around his neck and a lavender/lt. blue splotch on his tongue. He is a feisty guy at the dog park and loves to wrestle (nip at neck and tail) rather than chase. Doesn't care to swim or fetch. His ears were folded as a young puppy and stood up after teething. Very affectionate and intelligent. Potty-trained very early.

He does have a Pit Bull shaped head... but it is rather hard to say. Pit Bulls also have a lot of loose skin around the neck... but that doesn't mean anything because so do many breeds.

It is very hard to say but regardless of what he is he is adorable.

He could have great dane in him. Especially as big as he is at 6wks. That is almost the full grown weight of a boxer or a German Shepherd. Beautiful dog, though!!

HE is adorable.

I would not rule out lab and shepherd. But the big head could be from a bully breed. It could be all three. Boxer/ Lab/ Shepherd

he looks like he could be a miniature boxer, Australian Shepherd, mastiff, could be pit or Rottweiler or a great dane mixture.

The head is more squarish like a boxer, mastiff, or pitbull. Hard to tell what it is, but it is very cute!
