How to burn 3.33GB size .avi files on a single DVD-Video (4.37GB)? (Techs only)?

Question

In total, there are 24 avi files. But whenever i analyze the files on Nero Vision Express, the file size increases upto 6GB. How do i burn all the files on 1 DVD-Video? Is any other application under Nero 7 Premium Reloaded more helpful in this case? What should I do? How do I compress the files?

Create the 6 GB DVD, then use DVDShrink to shrink it down to 4.3 GB.
